Home/Electrical/Lighting and GPO upgrades

Lighting and GPO upgrades
Licensed electricians upgrade old fluorescent battens to LED, add extra power points, and test emergency lighting on occupied sites across Melbourne and Victoria.
- LED fittings picked for how the room is used
- Extra GPOs on a circuit that can take the load
- Emergency lighting tested with the upgrade
- Licensed & insured
- 8 trades, one account
- Victoria-wide
Our Process
1Review the existing install
We look at the fluorescent tubes and fittings already on site - what can stay, what should go to LED, then quote from that.
2Install by zone
Lights and outlets go in one zone at a time so live floors keep trading.
3Test and hand over
Circuits tested, fittings labelled, old lamps taken for proper disposal.
What we install

Commercial LED lighting
Battens, downlights and high bays swapped to LED for the room, not a generic fitting site-wide.

Extra GPOs and circuits
New outlets for cleaners, kitchens and IT, on a circuit rated for the load.

Emergency and exit lighting
First test and a defect list with the upgrade. Ongoing tests can sit on a maintenance visit.

Quoted from a site count
Fittings counted and GPO positions marked with your site contact before install day.

Commercial lighting upgrades in Melbourne
Old fluorescent battens, mixed whites across two floors, or a warehouse still on high-bay metal halide.
We count fittings and pick LED for how the room is used. Some rooms only need LED tubes in sound battens. Others need new fittings, sensors, or a colour-temperature match so two floors do not look unfinished.
Exit and emergency fittings are tested with the upgrade. Occupied sites across Melbourne and regional Victoria, booked around trading hours, holidays or a weekend shutdown.

Replace old and broken GPOs
Cracked plates, burnt sockets, loose switches and double adaptors taped to a wall are a GPO upgrade, not a longer lead. We replace what is already there, then add extra points where staff actually plug in.
A kettle or cleaner circuit on the lighting run will trip. We check the load and put new outlets on a circuit that can take it, marked with your site contact so we are not putting a point behind a fixed cabinet.
If the board cannot take the extra load, we say so before anyone orders fittings.

Questions we get asked
It depends on fitting count, access height, and whether the circuits can stay. We quote after a site count, not a blanket per-fitting rate.
Yes. If the batten body is sound we can often fit LED tubes or a new LED batten on the same run. If the fitting or wiring is tired, that goes in the quote before we open the ceiling.
Yes. Extra GPOs for break rooms, cleaner corridors, reception and IT - on a circuit rated for the load, not daisy-chained off the lighting run.
We can include a first test and a defect list. Ongoing tests can sit on a maintenance visit.
Yes. Metro Melbourne, the Peninsula, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and regional Victoria.
Yes. Retail and hospitality often want nights. Schools and aged care often want a full closure in holidays or on a weekend. Tell us which constraint applies.
